Each map is researched, drawn, and composed with care, featuring hundreds of hand placed icons that reflect the character of a place.

Product & Materials
What paper do you use?
We print on premium matte paper (200 gsm / 80 lb) with a smooth, non-reflective finish. The paper is FSC-certified (or equivalent) and selected for sharp detail and durability.
Are your materials sustainable?
Yes. Our paper is FSC-certified or equivalent, and frames are crafted from responsibly sourced wood.
What frame options are available?
Framed editions include a ready-to-hang wooden frame (natural wood, black, or white) with shatterproof plexiglass protection.
Do posters come framed?
You may select either print-only or framed at checkout.

Packaging & Care
How are posters packaged?
Unframed prints typically arrive in a protective tube or sturdy flat mailer.
Framed prints ship flat with protective materials to ensure safe delivery.
How do I flatten a rolled poster?
If framing, the frame will naturally flatten the print.
If displaying unframed, lay it flat on a clean surface and place light weight on the corners for 12–24 hours.
Orders & Payment
How is payment processed?
Payment is securely processed at checkout through Shopify’s encrypted system. We accept major credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
Can I cancel or modify my order?
If production has not yet begun, we will do our best to accommodate cancellations or changes. Please contact us as soon as possible after placing your order.
Once production has started, changes may not be possible.
Returns & Refunds
Can I return an item?
Print-only items may be returned within 15 days of delivery if unused and in resalable condition.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
Are framed prints returnable?
Framed prints are custom assembled and are not eligible for return unless there is damage or a quality issue.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Email us within 15 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the damage (including packaging). We will arrange a replacement or an appropriate resolution.
When will I receive my refund?
Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 business days after the returned item is received and inspected.
Gifting & Custom Requests
Can I send a poster as a gift?
Yes. Pricing information is not included in the package.
If you need special handling, please reach out through our Contact page before placing your order.
Can I request a custom city or modification?
We occasionally accept custom projects and new city proposals.
Please submit your inquiry through the Contact page on our website and include relevant details.

Shipping Information
Alfalfa New York operates with two fulfillment models.
Both begin in New York. How they reach you depends on the edition.
Studio Editions Ship from New York City via UPS
A select group of our original launches are stored and shipped directly from our design studio in New York City.
These Studio Editions include: Alfalfabet, Brooklyn Multicolor, Central Park Multicolor, London Multicolor, Mumbai Multicolor, New York Multicolor, and New York Illuminated.
Studio Editions ship via UPS.
On-Demand Editions Produced Close to You
Most posters are produced through trusted professional print partners located near your delivery address. This reduces transit time and unnecessary shipping distance.
All artworks are designed in New York.
Production location depends on the edition selected.
Production Time
Most orders are produced and shipped within 1–3 business days.
You will receive:
- An order confirmation email
- A shipping confirmation email with tracking details
Orders ship Monday through Friday.
Delivery Estimates
United States:
Typically 2–7 business days after shipment.
International:
Typically 7–18 business days after shipment, depending on destination and carrier.
Delivery times may extend slightly during holidays.
Customs & Import Duties
International orders may be subject to duties or local taxes determined by your country’s customs authority. These fees, if applicable, are the responsibility of the recipient.
Split Shipments
Framed and unframed items may ship separately.
If so, you will receive tracking information for each package.
Address Accuracy
Please ensure your shipping address is complete and correct at checkout. We are not responsible for delays caused by incorrect or incomplete information.
