Jose Guadalupe Posada (1852-1913).
Posada is the father of modern Mexican graphic design. He is famous for his calaveras [skeletons], but his body of work includes much, much more.
Posada’s broadsheet “Suicide of a Rich Envious Man” inspired these original drawings of Avaricia [Greed], Envidia [Envy], Gula [Gluttony], Ira [Anger], Lujuria [Lust], Pereza [Sloth], and Soberbia [Pride].
